Zion United Church of Christ operates an overnight extreme weather shelter in its basement for single men on nights when the temperature gets to 20 degrees or colder. Check in time is 8pm-10pm and check out time is 8am. Entrance is on the southwest corner of Franklin and Central. Guests are not permitted to return after the hour of 10pm. Upon entry guests will be searched for weapons, alcohol and drugs and possessions will be locked up for safe keeping until exiting. Pets are welcome on-site, but must be crated, which are provided by center.
