The Mobile Crisis Response Team was designed in 2020 and began as a pilot project in 2021 in Sandusky County, Ohio. In 2022, the team expanded to cover Seneca, Ottawa, and Wyandot counties. In 2024, the team once again expanded to cover Huron County. The MCRT handles mental health and addiction related calls in the communities with or without public safety assistance.
