Fair Housing Contact Service

Provides information and education on Ohio Landlord/Tenant laws and Fair Housing laws. Processes complaints and advises how to handle problems regarding housing discrimination. Offers information and help on the nine protected classes in the state of Ohio including race, ancestry, military status, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, and disability. Provides advocacy for tenants with disabilities in cases where the landlord is required by law to address accessibility issues (such as the installation of grab bars, ramps, and in cases where an assistance/therapy animal is needed). Contacts the landlord to inform them of their responsibilities (if needed).
